Plantera

Established in 2021, Plantera is a 50 per cent subsidiary of LSH. The company has specialised in producing sustainable packaging from maize grits. Plantera utilises valuable synergies because maize grits are a by-product that accumulate in large quantities during corn processing at Nordgetreide but are unsuitable for further use in food production. Using a well-established process known from cereal production, the corn is puffed up and formed into sustainable packaging, which can be used as transport protection or as inlays for product packaging.
